Welcome to Day 20 of our 30 day Winter event. Today's theme is Didactic and 'message' comics!
I picked this up at Fan Expo this year and yes, I cried while reading it. It's written and drawn by Judd Winick and details his time on MTV's the Real World, his friendship with Pedro Zamora and is a biography of Pedro's short life.
Initially, Winick was asked by MTV producers if he would mind sharing a room with an HIV positive person. He agreed, though reflecting on it later as he writes this, he admits his privilege and that he was both worried about it and had a world of stereotypes going into the situation.

Pam and Judd go to one of Pedro's many lectures for AIDS activism during the six months of filming for the Real World.
